The BSc in Applied Zoology will help you to develop your theoretical and scientific knowledge in. You choose two optional modules allowing you to explore areas of Zoology of particular interest to yourself. Common themes will be the conflicting demands placed on animals and their environment by such forces as biodiversity conservation objectives, agriculture and side effects of other human activities. The releveance of Zoology to various aspects of human endeavour as well as animals themselves is explored through the second year module Applications of Zoology. The first year Research Methods module is followed in the second year with the opportunity to engage in an in-depth personal study of a single topic as part of the honours project module.
