Podcasts in Education
The following pages will show how podcasting has been used in different ways with learners.
Homophones
The first example is a lesson on homophones with a group of Level 1 Motor Vehicle students with literacy levels entry 3 to level 1.
You will see a short video of a group of learners with their literacy teacher. In this lesson she is piloting using a podcast for a lesson on homophones. This is then followed by a further video where the learners give feedback on the use of podcasts.
Finally there is a podcast interview with the tutor.
Modern Foreign Languages
Foundation language is a subject many of our students find challenging and it is part of the core offer at KS4. To encourage learners to become more engaged in the process and to reduce a high drop out rate we decided to explore podcasts as a way of helping the students become active listeners and learners.
Using Podcasting for Verbal Feedback
For students who need to improve their literacy skills in order to achieve their potential C grade.
